Anatomy and Physiology
The occupational competencies that a student enrolled in veterinary Assistant I & II in the area of Anatomy and Physiology are listed below. The student is expected to attempt only some of the following skills while participating in community classroom at their site.
Names and identifies the bones that make up the dog and cat skeleton.
Names and locates the major venipuncture sites.
Names and locates the major IM injestion sites.
Is familiar with common SQ injection sites.
Identifies the major organ system and their functions.
Describes basic phtysiology of the organ system.
